Winter Lingers.

I feel yet, a chill hint of Winter.
Though April is barely begun
coldness and dark try to enter.

Willow buds swell, fragile, tender
but as the first days of Spring dawn
I feel yet, a chilll hint of Winter.

Doubt is a murmured tormentor
cloud on the face of the sun.
Coldness and dark try to enter.

Hollow, a hollow at center
echoes of music long gone
I feel yet, a chill hint of Winter.

The glass shatters. All visions splinter.
I grope for a future, find none.
Coldness and dark try to enter.

So tired, I so yearn to surrender
admit that the journey's near done.
I feel yet, a chill hint of Winter
Coldness and dark try to enter.
