Villanelle For Spring

How my heart doth enjoy the spring;
The world seeming fresh and new.
The rebirth is a joyous thing.

Enjoy the robins as they sing;
Share their energy as they do.
How my heart doth enjoy the spring.

The lifting of winter’s cold sting;
The frost replaced by morning dew,
The rebirth is a joyous thing.

The gardens and the plants they bring;
Gorgeous colors come into view,
How my heart doth enjoy the spring.

The hope onto which I do cling,
Anticipation fills me through.
The rebirth is a joyous thing.

Growing season reaches full swing,
The grass all green and sky is blue.
How my heart doth enjoy the spring.
The rebirth is a joyous thing.
