The King and I
Once a God in the heavens...sent to earth as a king
wise men foretold of his coming to correct things
Born of blessed yet ordinary people
officials in high places on earth thought him to be lethal
to their way of command
afraid of a child that grew into an awesome man
that was a king all along, who walked with sinners
and all that followed became winners.....heirs
to thrones, mansions, robes, crowns
they thought they had broke him down
by beating him, hanging him on a cross
stabbing him in his side
then he hung his head and died........for me
so that I may have a chance to reside
with him in paradise......and I will go
but I must comply
with his commands
and let nothing separate me....from the man
that is my King.
