Mr Big Shot

Well, there's the morning paper
Torn up on the floor
And a big old smelly wet spot
Right by the front door

The food bowl is tipped over
The water bowl is too
And I wonder how much trouble
Big Shot has got into

Had a bad day at the office
So I'd like to go upstairs
Have a shower and a sandwich
With no worries or no cares

But I got to find the little guy
That naughty little pup
Put a stop to all his mischief
Before he tears things up

In the bedroom's where I found him
Just chewing on my shoe
And his eyes beg me to answer
What was I supposed to do?

I scold and he looks sorry
His chin is on the floor
And his sad look is saying
Don't you love me anymore

So I reach down and pick him up
And put my arms around
This sweet and charming treasure
That somehow I have found

Just a wriggly little body
And two eyes that love shines though
With a tail just like a whirligig
That's wagging just for you

And he gives the warmest kisses
Of anyone I've met
And I can't help but fall in love
With pink tongue and puppy breath

Just a little Mr Big Shot
You just tore my world apart
And somewhere in the process
you just went and stole my heart.
