For You my Love.
I had a crappy day and an even crappier night,
but when I came home to you my darling everything was alright.
You were waiting for me with open arms, a smile apon your face,
It makes me wonder how in the world I lived without you in this place.
The last two nights have been just awesome, sleeping beside you in our bed,
to think that God has blessed me so, makes me bow my head.
I thank Him every moment of every single day,
and I thank your girlfriends for that night they took you out to play.
One had heard there was a DJ and Karaoke at a local bar,
who would have thought that that first glance would have taken us this far.
A happy Man I surely am and happier I will be,
when we finally get all setteled in, you just wait and see.
This house will finally be a home and I will be so thrilled,
all our plans and all our dreams can now start to be fulfilled.
I finished painting Aidan's room today, and Amy's will be next,
but the color that she wants it has got me a bit perplexed.
I guess I'll get used to it, it's after all Her bedroom,
to tell her that I dont like it, would prolly spell my doom.
She already has me wrapped around her finger, the cute little sprite,
I love her like my own, she owns my heart outright.
I know just where she gets, it all comes straight from you,
she got your looks, your charm and grace, that much sure bred true.
So I'll finish this little poem off, so that we can go to bed,
and I can whisper sweet nothings into your pretty head.
