Crying Out Loud

All that I love
All that I am
All that I feel

In each tear drop,
there swirls a rainbow of colour.
The lights above me
hurt my eyes as I squint
the light becomes long lines.

All that I see
All that I hold
All that I say

To you, they are as whispers
hateful lies that say
'I am against you and
all you stand for.'
While the opposite is true.

All that I try
All that I conquer
All that I take

The emptiness, all I have now
I said goodbye,
and walked away.
Have tried to do this before
and now I no longer fail.

All that I forgive
All that I forget
All that I trust

That which I love dies,
nothing is permanent.
I try to hold on, I try to change
but nothing stops the pain.
Goodbye is the kindest thing to say.
