Tribal Memories

Tribal memories of Ptolemy,
Darius, Alexander, and before.
Ten thousand times the sand stained red
From hatred, greed, and war.
And now our sons have journeyed
As strangers to this place
Scarce knowing of the histories
And challenges they face.
Can they be the catalyst
That helps to heal the past?
Before the hellish fires of hate,
Can they forge a peace that lasts?
Such young shoulders bear the burden
So that freedom may prevail
And The World will pay a fearsome price
If in this task they fail.

Our Prayers are with you !
