Spring Forward

Come to the pond and just listen until the thunder rolls...

With spring just around the corner,
I take note of neglected flower beds,
I recall the blossoms of fragrant jasmine
that drifted through the window of my childhood

Anticipation mounts with each raindrop that falls...
Like a tapestry woven within my rambling plans...
How does one coax the dance and twirl of monarchs?
'Tis like fine silk patterns glistening in my mind...

The sun gives way for the moon and stars...
And it is on these cool evenings, I reflect on the rewards
Of cut dahlias... of smiling neighbors and friends
That inspire me ... where sincere agape love grows.
