Forest of Emotion
I feel like I've been trapped
Wandering around lost
With my emotions endless
Jumbled together like a maze of trees.
I keep trying to get out
Of this heartbreaking forest
That my emotions have made
To lock me inside.
But I get lost
And can't find my way
How long has it been
Since I have seen the light of day?
Everything around me
Is a different shade of green
So there is no way to tell
Where I'm going, or where I've been.
I just want out
I can't take it anymore
My heart wont make it
Through this loss again.
This forest of emotion
is swallowing me whole
I surrender, let it take me
I won't fight anymore.
I know now
That beyond the forest green
Is release from the heartache
Of one more loss, I just couldn't take.
Save me from myself
Set me free
Beyond the forest green
Is all I want for me.
