You're Home Little Wing

Hi mom, just a few lines to let you know, I'm ok...
and well ... there are a few more things I wanted to say

I really don't know what came over me
and I really don't know what I'm doing here, you see ...

I really don't know what came over me
when home is where I long to be

it just seemed then, like the thing to do
and I guess ... well ... I really didn't think it through

I really don't know what came over me
but I have to stay and fight until they're free

life over here can end so abruptly
I ask myself why ... why did I want to grow up in such a hurry

and now I wish I was little again
I so miss those times, way back then

I miss that song you would sing
I miss you calling me your little wing

you used to say 'oh how you make my heart fly and sing,
do you know how much I love you, my little wing?'

yes, oh yes mom ... I do
and I know how much you worry too

but don't worry mom, home some day I will be
and I can't wait to hear you say to me

welcome home my little wing
and sing again that song you'd sing

sorry mom, I got to run
another mission ... I'll write you more when it's done

Thank you Mom for every thing
your loving daughter Little Wing
