Pamela's Poem

~jftloi~

You were barely older;
Yet,walking through my dream;
I knew that it was you;
The you I've never seen.
~
A pale substitute;
For reality's embrace;
In my mind;glimpsing;
Perfection's smiling face.
~
Words you spoke;insuring;
These memories to unwind;
Upon the trail of yesterday;
A path no man can find.
~
You sat beside;reminding;
Of moments sorely missed.
The time you stole my glasses,
Returning price?A kiss!
~
I saw this youthful woman;
The one I've never seen,
But there you were,so lovely;
Alone;within my dream.
