John's Poem
I've lost it, my creative side
It is something in front of you that I want to hide
I can't open up and just let you in
I apologize now before I even begin
I love you so much yet no words can tell
The way you look at me and the way that you smell
You do so much for me
But what can I do for you
I'm no longer afraid of pain in my life
Your words of encouragement are like my knife
You see me beyond my tears
Because of you I now have no more fears
This is so hard
My fear of love I am now able to discard
This is real this you and me
The love I have for you, I know is difficult to see
I've never had anyone who has treated me the way that you do
All I want to do is inspire, love and be true to you
I know that in my past it has been sad
But thats why I love you because you take away all of the bad
I love the way that you are genuine and true
The way you can see through people as you do
The fact that you can make your own judgments of people and give them a second chance
If this is a fairy tale then this would be our first dance
You holding me and telling me what it is in me that you see
I know that you can see through my walls and you have the real me
How happy I am when I am with you
The fact that I can trust you in everything think that you say or do
Knowing that no matter how much I try to push you away
I know that you are here beside me to stay
Because of you I can open up and just be me
The way I am comfortable with you, I know that you can see
I love your smile and the way you look at me
I just want you to know how I feel and for you to believe
That I love your more than I can ever show
With you I know that I will grow
I've always been scared and alone
All that I have ever wanted was a man with a heart of gold
Ive watched all of my friends fall in love and get old
While I sat on the sidelines with no one to hold
Feeling so unlovable with no one by my side
But this love I have for you I can not hide
The way I feel when I am with you
All of the happy moments that have been shared between us to
I will love you until the day that I die
The way I feel for you I could never lie
I will love you from now until whenever
As long as you'll say you'll love me forever
