Starlite The Shining City

I wanted a great write to welcome all my brothers and sisters home again to our beloved Starlite, I found I could not best this, so, I repeat it for you
Ladies and Gentlemen

I give you these words to say 'There is no place like home'

We built this shining city
Right here at this old Star
We've come from every nation
To show just who we are

We come in celebration
To help each other see
Just how to live life gracefully
In peace and harmony

We bring our thoughts, our hopes, our dreams,
Pieces of who we are
All colors, creeds and races
Are welcome at this Star

We come in love and friendship
And not to fuss or fight
A great example to the world
Of how to get it right

We never appear angry
We come to write and pray
And show to all who see us
We've found a better way

There is no condemnation
No threats nor any fear
And anyone who wants to write
Will find they're welcome here

We are the world's big dreamers
Have been, will always be
And we believe that everyone
Is just as good as we

We care about all children
The land, the law, the right
Of everyone to safety
From terror in the night

We dwell in peace and harmony
For we have dreams to share
To us life's greatest blessing
Is knowing someone cares

So watch out world, for we are strong
And with one voice we sing
And anyone who wants to
Can join our caroling

Why don't you come and sing with us
Come share our message sweet
For we have found true happiness
The kind that's hard to beat

We are the Starlite People
Who shine here at the Star
And we're announcing to the world
Exactly who we are

A proud and healthy slice of life
We rise above the pain
And we all want a better world
In which to write our names.
