Am I Missing You?

Am I missing you?
Am I missing your laughs?
Am I missing your smiles?
Am I missing you there?

I guess it is possible
Stranger things have happened
Stock markets have crashed
Wars have been fought
So I guess I could miss you

Do I miss the gentle pushes?
Do I miss the nudges to keep going?
Do I miss the pep talks?
Do I miss the helping hand?

Yeah, I guess I miss that stuff
It isn't that hard to imagine
We work constantly together
We joke constantly together
Missing that is logical

What do I really miss about you?
Why do I really wish you were here?
What's really my problem here?
Am I missing you?

Yeah, I'm missing you
I'm missing you a lot
Not because of work
Not because of the help
Because of YOU

I do miss your laughs
Both your ability to make me laugh
With some silly joke
As well as you laughing

I do miss your smiles
I miss the way you make me smile
No matter what is wrong
And I miss it when you smile at me

I do miss you here
You're a big part of my day
You're my partner, my cohort
You're my dear friend

A big part of my world is missing
You're missing
I'm missing you
