Priestess of Isis

Boats landed on the shore of the Nile
Eighty soldiers came armed and strong
Advancing on the temple above them
Priestess waved but sensed nothing wrong

Krista the highest of priestess
Stepped up and greeted them with respect
'We are healers of her Goddess'
Only when swords were drawn did she suspect

'Kill the witches and burn the temple'
Came the seasoned Centurion's order
A sword thrusted into Krista's chest
He left her dying at the Temple border

Screams filled the cool air
As the men slashed and murdered
Scared places were violated
Plants would no longer be watered

Carnage filled the temple
Blood flowed in rivers of death
Priestess laid broken and cold
Destruction to rival that of Seth

Healing replaced with injury
Love replaces with hate
A child holding scrolls
Hidden in he water reeds awaits

Flames consume the temple
Filling the rooms with smoke
Burning the floor of dance
Destruction without provoke

As the bodies start to burn
Her vapored face appears
Looking at Her temple below
Anger builds and spill as tears

No one escaped her voice
It came as a cold wind, chilled
Gently whispering in their heads
These words will be fulfilled

Destruction shall reign
For I will turn man against man
I will turn the poor on the rich
I will destory your clan

My Priestess will braid their hair
Your ships will not reach home
Scared places you've touched
I'll never let you reach Rome

Krista, my faithful servant
You shall be the highest of all
For in another body and another time
You'll reign in my power and stand tall

So go now in peace and rest your soul
Rest for the day for when I will speak
Then listen closely and hear my voice
Rule in my power for the poor and meek
