To Greet The Day
To awake each moring and have the sun kiss my face,
Just brings me joy and takes me to a happy place.
Pleasurable songs the birds sing at my window pain,
So much beauty from all of this I gain.
Greeting the day with a smile and a hello,
It's so peaceful this morning as I'm mellow.
The laughters of children as they play,
Looking forward to this marvelous day.
I sing a tune as I head out the door,
Greeting the birds as they sing some more.
Melodies so sweet it will make you sigh,
Precious day filled with a sunny sky.
