I’m here
Yet I’m not
Mind entranced
Moments forgot

You were there
Speaking soft
Dreams arise and
Float aloft

Stillness required
Maintaining thought
Meditative silence
Love is sought

Somewhere now
Beneath the grain
Is polished residue-
Of former pain

Layers ‘n layers
Have hidden verse
Bequeathed to me
From sorrows curse

I am stilled
Within my mind
Where memories dwell
Not far behind

I’m here
Yet I’m not
Mind entranced
Life has danced

In this summer
Of a thousand dreams
