ALONG THE WAY ARE FRIENDSHIPS
It is awesome to have some friendships to cherish from day to day,
Friends who will listen and encourage every step of the way.
Friends can be ordinary people who help, laugh and take our cares away,
They gently pull you back together when your threads start to fray.
Sharing all the memories that you keep tucked within your heart,
A friend is a precious treasure and a priceless work of art.
We journey along life’s highway, looking for a friendship road,
To have and keep a friend along life’s way, eases the bearing of one’s load.
My forever friend has been my dearest these many years,
We have shared a lot of happy times and also shared some tears.
My friend always makes me laugh when I am feeling low,
My friend is there to turn to when I’ve had no place to go.
Sometimes my friend will disagree about things I say or do,
But patiently my friend will stand by me and try to see my view.
I know my friend will stick by me like no other,
Even better than our siblings, our sisters and brothers.
I know our friendship will be forever and when our life is through,
The bond we have will not be broken for we will share in heaven too.
