Albert, You Live On In Us

Dearest Albert in the sky above
You bring new meaning to word, Starlite
For its your vision and dream for
Starlite to be the haven in the night

We had talked when you were alive
But, I think we have talked more since
As I live in your programs
You're on my shouder, giving me hints

I feel the love that you had
For each and every poet at your home
Your open arms to embrace them
Create a family for them to belong

I hear you as if you were here saying,
Write from the heart of what you feel
Don't worry about structure now
Just let the words flow and let your heart heal

Don't worry about whether its right
Just tell us the words that we need to hear
Open your heart and let them all flow
At the Starlite, you can write without fear

Albert open his arms to all styles
He knew poetry was from the poet's heart
When faced with people who attacked
He moved quickly to blunt their dart

Albert, we all miss you so much
Your vision lives on in this place
For we keep our arms open
We meet the visitors with a smiling face

Feel free to peek over my shoulder
Tell me how to understand your code
Explain to me why you used that database
As we continue to the goal that you showed

Live on through us Albert
Your legacy will not be forgotten
