Should have
been
erased~~~~~,
but it
the face
within a misty
wish
was still intact,
but it was
just a vaporous
anamoly,
'n still
within the will
'twas still
intact,
for I was
mesmerized
with the blues
as miss
SARAH VAUGHN
sang on
within dreamy
song
as I too
sang along
with the car
radio
in 1959
right on time.
So hard
to understand,
for I had a new love
to last until
the end of time,
but the wound
would sigh~~~~~~
with auld feelings
that sent
a scarred
aortic pump
reeling~~~~~~
with something
from the past
when trashed
and left alone
where even
a simple telephone
was a call
to nowhere.
I survived
and am
deeply loved
completely,
but the
mystic image
still survives
within the trace
of her face,
'n still
love the tune
until today
for a heart
betrayed.
I was a 50's
Wanderer
I know,
but still
intact,
'n that is
a fact.
