I Will Rise Again - A 911 Tribute

This is dedicated to to all those who perished on 11 September 2001 and to their families and friends. America was shocked and stunned that day -but America is proud and strong and no person or anything will ever cause her to loose her place in time. No one will ever be forgotten. No person will ever cause any of us to put this day aside and simply call it a day of service, no matter what.

This is not the place for me to cast my dark suspicions. It is merely a tribute to those who died that fateful day and to those left behind. In good conscience and faith, I am not able to write nor combine both tribute and suspicions, as I feel it would take away from the true meaning of this tribute.

This tribute is not about the main stream media and their abandonment of America or American's. It is about the victims and their families. The Police, Fire, EMS and all those who were came in droves to help in anyway that they could.

It's about honor, and grace and mercy and love for our fellow man. It is times like now that words fail me. Profound words do not bring these dear and innocent people back. They do hopefully give comfort to those left behind.

Like Memorial Day and Veterans Day - we must not ever forget 911. We must always call it what it is. Not a day of service. Not a day goes by that I don't think about that horrible day. Not one day goes by that I don't think or imagine what it must have been like. When I wrote this poem, I tried to do it in a way that would be meaningful and understandable to all that might read it.

I am an American, I am a patriot.
I believe in God!
I sometimes envision the faces of victims.
Tears spill, words fail me.
I look to the heavens
and know without a single doubt
that God is our saving grace!

Please fly your flag for 911. Remember the victims and their families. Remember those who have gone to war and how many have died since it began! Let us not for a moment in time 'forget'.

Give comfort O Lord to those who still mourn the losses of their loved ones. Give them strength to endure, to move out of the darkness and embrace life once again! Give them hope of a stronger and more secure America. Let those who have been asleep Lord wake up and know that we must never allow 911 to have been in vain.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things!

I Will Rise Again!

I am consumed with fear
memories of the past years give rise
to sheer evil.

Photobucket

I am often consumed
with thoughts
I cannot control,
but faith will carry me.

Photobucket

For those who went before me,
I know you are in God's hands
for me a victim - survivor -
sometimes I talk,
as though I were invisible.

Photobucket

Yet, life remains so important to me
and even though right now
I cannot see my way clear -
through the tears in my eyes.

Photobucket

I know in the end, like the Phoenix
I Will Rise Again!

Photobucket

To exist, is not to live
but to live right now,
is so that I can exist!

Photobucket

Our lives, forever changed.
Yet our soul remains the same.
I have to fight to keep my sanity.
I do not want to become a mere ash.

Photobucket

One day, when I can focus again,
I will be glad that I was the chosen
one and that death
didn't come to me that day.

Photobucket

But it does not diminish my pain
from what happened to so many
and the destruction it caused so many families
and America!

Photobucket

Not a day goes by that I don't recall
one single moment in time.
Americans by the score came to help us that day,
they were there till all the work was done,
they still remain.

Photobucket

But for those that death did come to,
for those we knew, worked with
loved - the terror that struck,
God took you from your pain.

Photobucket

You will always remain apart of me, of us
ofAmerica!

Photobucket

I Will Rise Again, like the phoenix,
long before we will ever allow those monsters
to cause us to self destruct.

Photobucket

We are stronger then they are
We are Americans
We 'will' the monsters to die off
be completely consumed -
so that We can be free again.

Photobucket

When I rise again,
the old me may looked changed,
but the inner me is still the same.
Strong, confident, my re-birth.

Photobucket

The evil men caused us great fear,
they injured and killed off our bodies
but never our souls.

Photobucket

They will never bring America to her knees, except to Pray!

Photobucket

You have not won
Their memories live on.
Those who died that day, live on.
They live on through their loved ones.

They live on through their friends.
They live on through each of us.
They live on through Tributes and Memorials

We will Never Forget !

Freedom is not free
A price was paid
No amount of Evil
Will destroy us.

America is strong!

Photobucket

Photobucket

We will rise again!
We will rise again!

Photobucket

In tribute and memory
to every person who
perished on
11 September 2001
