you are the silence that clings
to the edge of dreams and
the laughter that bubbles at
awkward moments, the candle
that lights new journeys
and the shadow that cloaks
lingering sadness, the music
lifting my spirits and the words
which echo heart's longing, the
guardian of my yesterday and
the protector of my future... you
are the love that carries me
onward even as I bid farewell
to our life together, the healer
of my weaknesses and the
truth of my strength... you are
a whisper within my soul and
the memory that fills my heart
...and always I miss you.
