On Our Special Day
Let's celebrate in ev'ry way
the special moments of this day.
On this our anniversary;
I thank the stars you married me.
I thank whatever gods might be
for this sweet gift life's given me.
Sometimes it feels like life's too much;
a skipping game of double dutch.
Sometimes I'm sad and feel so blue
Let's celebrate those moments too.
We celebrate the ev'ry day;
our life is sweet in ev'ry way.
Ev'ry day's a celebration
framed by our sweet dedication.
Through the remainder of our years
we'll face the end without sad fears.
For life is rich and life is great;
life's the reason to celebrate!

this poem has been reworked and retitled for this challenge. I have scrubbed the word love out of this piece...but I think the love remains, though the word has indeed disappeared
