Picture Perfect

In the portrait of the family
who could that old woman be?
She seems to look alot like me.
Must be a trick of memory.

Yearning for a revelation
to explain this situation.

I am old, I've gotten older.
Hemlines now are so much bolder;
winters now seem so much colder.
I've been given time's cold shoulder.

I'm drowsy and my mind drifts free
while thinking of my family.

I inhale the scent of memory.
I need renewal totally.
I'm impatient with reality.
How could time do this to me?
