Revenge Of The Furies

Through shadowed veils of midnight’s ghostly haze
We danced in meadows ‘neath the moonlit sky
Cruel fate of morn then hides you from my gaze
Can'st not yon heavens heed my earthly cries?

T’was raged furies that Mother Earth begat
That purloined love so gentle on my mind
The capricious ones, of sulfurous matte
Then plucked ye from sight, and rendered me blind

Oh, Nay, sweet love, forfeit not from this heart
This mystical love that ever was true
What Demons and Gods have thus torn apart
Dances e’en yet, and still awaits for you

We’ll gather new parchment to pen this tale
‘Til then, my brave exalted knight, farewell
