My Anchor In Life

Calling upon
the most High
to guide my steps
and carry me when I fall
to lead me into the light
bringing peace and comfort
on cold dark nights
the flutter of Angel wings
to carry me
into the arms
of the one
who loved me always
and who never
turned His back
on me.

In the pavillion
or in the garden
always there
to hold me up
and carry me
when I can't go on
needing the comfort
of the Father's breast
to lean upon
weeping bitter tears
with humble heart
knowing He's always
here to help me.

Into His hands
I give myself
with assurance
He knows best
ever faithful to the end
He will carry me
into Zion
and my eternal rest
my anchor in life
and through its storms.

God is my Anchor
He's brought me
through so much
and I thank Him.
