Just One More Day

With no regrets I'll bid farewell
to earthly pleasures spent.
My off-spring know I love them
and will doubt not where I went.
There is no debt unforgiven
from my years and all I've done
and I anticipate forever
in reflections from the Son.
Not suggesting I am perfect,
God and I know that's untrue.
I may have caused some sorrow
by what I did or didn't do.
But I've done my very darndest
and that's an 'absolute'
and I trust my life to testify
for my Lord will weigh the fruit.
If I was granted one more day
to use as I saw fit
I could spend that time in planting seed
so my Lord could gather it.
