Oh October

Oh October, it is you. Blustery, angry and having your way.
You are dark and dreary, and full of pain.
The earth is cold and the leaves are dead on the ground, because
you October came around.

Oh October, I woke up and here you are again.
How you make my spirit sink and cloud up my troubled mind.
You torture my soul, while making me remember life’s bad events.
What you have taken, you can never give back.

Oh October, you were mention just the other day.
I thought please go away, never come again, as if I can tell you what to do.
I tell myself what good can be found in October, it takes and takes
and takes, but what does it give.

Oh October, again you return.
So, I tried to dismiss you and send you away, but you came in like a
force, spinning me out of control.
You had me weeping, so I retreated and went home.

Oh October, I looked outside and starred you in the face.
I stood my ground, I touched that pain and left it there that day.
The hold you had is here no more, so you can come and go.
