Sweethearts Through and Through

When I look into your eyes,
I'm embraced with love so true;
When I hold your tender hand,
I'm filled with memories old and new;
From our first goodnight kiss,
And through years of happy bliss,
You are my sweetheart through and through.
You are my love I knew from the start
You were the one that belonged in my heart
Even tho I was a girl untried in all ways
I saw you from afar and became very smart
You were so handsome, tall and strong
Just what I wanted, I couldn't go wrong
You are my sweetheart through and through
You were only fourteen
When I heard you sing so sweet and pure,
You were so cute and pretty,
Yet oh so demure;
Then much later on our first date,
I said we would marry and you would be my mate,
And sweethearts we'd be through and through.
Throughout the years my love for you has grown
You stayed true to our plan
When the children came along
You were still my loving, hard working man
We have seen some hard times
When we didn't have a dime
But sweethearts we were through and through
Nearly five decades later,
It's like we've just begun;
Adventures and thrills abound,
And we dream of what's to come;
Playing, loving, kissing,
We love the life we are living,
Sweethearts forever through and through.
