I Am Not Insane, and Neither Am I

I watch, as blue ocean waters rage
Against shuddering shores
Surrendering them softly, into subtle submission

Where reason is really hindsight
Sharply shaded in delusion.

And the weary traveler seeks

A flashing oasis of neon…

Or a lily in the desert…

But the darned old car...

Won’t go that far.

(Don't worry, friends, it's not catching)

(sigh)
