A Letter For My Love.
Dear You,
I knew that I loved you
the moment we met.
A breeze caught your hair
and I will never forget
how your eyes danced
and lingered on mine.
Your lips parted a little
rouged with red wine.
We could hear music,
faint words on the wind.
You gave me your jacket
silk lining my skin.
Hands briefly touched
smooth, softly sweet
how we both looked alarmed
and shuffled our feet.
You walked me home
as rain poured down
I was falling for you
I knew I would drown
in this feeling forever
with you like this,
trapped in this moment
as you left with a kiss.
Though years have passed,
I feel just the same.
We change on the outside
and the wedding, my name.
But it's moments like these
when I pause to recall
in writing to you that I
remember it all.
