Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Let Her Sink

acrid wind blew between the hairs
that carelessly dangled across and over
my brow, beading with sweat.
stranded, oh Lord, stranded,
in the endless sea of eyes.
devils and demons, alike,
in unison, peered over me,
their flashlight-like gleams
in their eyes
their tiny, lustful bodies,
exposing themselves as temptation.
but i'll not look.
my boat is sinking and i'd rather it sink,
with me in it,
than grab hold of your hand,
little spirit of the air.
the worm has found you
and it dies not.
i need some light.
