Blazing Sands
As I walk across the barren land
Feeling upon my feet the blazing sand
The sweat from the heat falls down my face
My footprints in the sand disappear without a trace
The love of my soul mate is what helps me carry on
Even in times of worry and troubles when I am not feeling strong
Upon my face I feel a soft yet gentle rain
As I breathe, I know it is now my strength I have to regain
The sunlight and the heat fuse together like a million moons
The sands of time swirl in a dust cloud forming sand dunes
I feel the soft and warm love and energy of my soul mate
Where time has tested our devotion, love and fate
It still has remained strong throughout the years
Both of us have had our triumphs and also had our own fears
As I close my eyes, I can feel his touch and intense love all around me
Bursting like a million suns fused with a soft yet strong love and intensity
Within his loving arms it is a sanctuary of love and strong emotion
Intense yet strong as waves upon the ocean
Flowing from him to me endlessly
My darling soul mate you will forever be a beautiful part of me
Finding the long way home, I am blessed to always know that he is there for me
