His Friendship
He was a thin, lanky man,
that really touched my life,
His friendship was sincere,
molded by the love of Christ,
We shared God’s word on Tuesday night,
to those that yearned,
His words of faith opened hearts,
so their souls wouldn’t burn,
He has a way to touch a heart,
that so few men seek,
A soldier in God’s Army,
shod with the gospel of peace,
From a student to professor,
as well as in the Pulpit,
I’m in at awe at what God’s does
through him for his profit,
He has great knowledge of the bible,
and is lead by the Holy Spirit
Just a humble vessel preaching the word,
so many ought to hear it,
He runs the race ever so steady,
with eyes straight ahead,
And God’s word flows from his lips,
to raise the spiritual dead,
We lost contact for many years,
but we are still blessed friends,
He touch my heart 30 years ago,
and now he’s did it again,
Thank you brother for who you are,
my friend God called to lead,
You serve God with an open heart,
He really must be pleased.
He was a thin, lanky man,
that really touched my life,
His friendship forever remains,
molded by the love of Christ.
