Longing for Spring
Oh balmy breeze when will you blow
And spill the breath of verdant spring
Come melt away this tired old snow
Won't you end old man winter's fling
I hear the birds trill out their plea
Oh balmy breeze when will you blow
Please warm the arms of nesting tress
While tickling blossoms into show
Red tulips hang their head down low
Upon each petal snowflakes lay
Oh balmy breeze when will you blow
And for us produce a sunshine day
Warm breeze, spring breeze, where can you be
Are you trapped inside mounds of snow
What will it take to set you free
Oh balmy breeze when will you blow
