red, white and blue...
endear it to my heart
honor it with my all
ne'er pause not to serve
whenever i am called
the red, white and blue
it's your flag, my flag
waving high in the air
i'm willing at any time
to shed every drop of my blood
to keep it flying there
in the foxholes of the warriors
whenever the flag unfurled
she blends her sacred radiance
its significance to the world to see
the white stars on blue, its stripes
of red and white, how magnificent
it flies, across the spacioius skies
its beauty and its glory
for the eyes and hearts of many
that symbolizes our country
how they well up with tears
when they look at our flag
that waves through the years
i praised it, loved it
with all my heart, body and soul
followed it to where it leads me
to any conflict where i am needed
without any question for a just cause
i will not let it fall to the ground
will protect it from break of dawn
until the last star don't shine
for every forward step i take, i know
i serve my flag that's now in flight
its a pity that some don't even recognize
what is its worth, it's meaning, it's value
those forefathers who gave their very best
must be asking why ~ turning on their graves
my heart bleeds, God is neglected
and the pledge of allegiance is forgotten
in schools, where young minds are molded
re-affirming commitment to be good citizens
honor, duty, country ~ just remembering
what the red, white and blue
truly represents...
