TRAN A CHILD IN THE WAYS OF GOD
Teach your children from babyhood to youth.
Before age six, they must know the truth.
A child`s character is formed before age six.
If not formed right, it will be hard to fix.
A child learns by what you say and do.
They know if you are phony or true.
If you tell him or her not to smoke;
Then you smoke, it will only be a joke.
A child is a gift from God above.
They deserves the greatest love.
Father, your son will most likely be like you.
Are you genuine? Are you true?
Mother, will your daughter be your delight?
Have you been the example in her sight?
Will she grow up to be what you exemplify?
Will she be the apply of your eye?
Train a child in the ways of God.
They won`t forget while on this sod.
They may run astray for awhile.
Most will return and cause you to smile.
When they go out to face the world alone,
Pray that they follow your stepping stone.
We know that life is not always grand.
