If you could only love me
not just for today or the moment
for always
whisper these gentle words
to the deepest part
of my aching soul
for you my love I cry
tears fall as I think of you
needing your gentleness
caressing my soul
time begins it's journey
touching my heart
in a most unique way
whispering softly a message
wake up wise up
he is gone
time to move on
replace those tears with a smile
my broken heart will heal
I can feel inside wonderful peace
I laugh again
not at him but myself
for giving more than he wanted
never again will this happen
the light is shining for me
bright and beautiful
too bad he cannot see
