You come to me each season
hopscotch through my mind
bringing back fond memories
of another place and time
I feel you close in Autumn
our favorite time of year

gray skies of November
mix with crystal tears
pansies dance in Springtime
wear aqua, satin gowns
reminded of your spirit
never absent smile
butterflies flitter, flutter
message carried...
on their wings
warm presence felt beside me
turmoil calmed within
sandcastle dreams of Summer
siblings, hand in hand
ocean songs 'n dolphins
our footprints in the sand
haunting sounds of Winter
linger through the night
reflecting on snow Angels
blanketed in white
never is mind vacant
thoughts scatter to and fro
'oft times laughter leapfrogs
to days of long ago

'n listen to each breeze
within the ashes of mem'ry

seasons pass so quickly
each with a sad refrain

yet, love in heart remains
