You are but a shadow now,
A journal page written in
Another time, of another passion.
But when time drifts gently
Upon yesterdays' breeze
I remember ...
No commitments, no promises
For love everlasting,
No pleading or long good-byes.
We simply slipped away
When our time together was spent.
But how we loved!
With an extraordinary passion
Woven into friendship's fabric,
Kindred spirits for that moment,
That heartbeat in time, loved well,
Sharing that fleetingly swift
Taste of desire,
The rush and the bliss.
Have you thought of me too
And wonder if we lost
That chance at forever?
Did we let love slip away,
Pass us by too easily?
I remember how our silence
Lay between us...
When time drifts gently
