FAILED PROMISE
He said,''I love you,''
Touching her palm gently
Eyes sparkled and shined,
Like a Diamonds on the sky
In the shadow of a smiley full Moon
With it's round face like a balloon.
Passion, love, romance, candles
a glass of a red wine -
Great music for the evening
two people wrapped
in a blanket of love-
When being together,
The World did not matter at all.
She told him, 'I love you',
you are the man of my dreams.
I have been waiting for you
At the Youth Fountain...
A secret meeting place, for those two.
He loved her dearly each day.
However, life events kept them apart.
She cried often to her pillow
missing the man
who was dearest to her heart.
Dreams, promises failed.
The hopes she had disappeared.
Life was empty with out him
her heart was broken and bled.
Her days were sad and gloomy
as a sky with heavy clouds
Darkness covered her soul,
Tears misted her eyes-
Only memory she treasured
forever lived in her broken heart.
