Years has gone by
memories are all that
are left,you would
think by now it would
be a little easier
to cope with
seventeen years
have come and gone
since you took
your flight to the beautiful
heaven above
When we lose
someone we love it
takes a toll on
our hearts,pieces fall
on to the cold
floor to never be put
back together
the way they were
once before
a little girl was left
with out her
step father,her best
friend,her heart
was never the same
again,she replays
what happened on that
awful day when
he was called to heaven
as tears steadily
flows down her cheeks
she keeps wondering was
there something
she could have done differently
playing on her mind
she will never know....the pain
the hurt,and the anger
is to much to bear for her at
times,so many things
he never got to share with her
grand babies will never
get the experience to see how
much love was offered
by their grandpa,the wisdom
that he had,the compassion
he showed,the love was
never ending
when we lose some one
we love,the hurt goes
on and on it seems to never
end,I know he's with
me in my heart I truly do,but
not having the touch
of his gentle hand to help
me up when I fall,or to
wipe away all these tears I
cry hurts so much
the pain just digs deeper
as the years go by,I keep thinking
of how many lives he has
blessed,how many hearts he has
touched,and does he know
how much he made me the person I am
today,he taught me respect,
love and kindness,he taught me to
fight for what I believe in and
stand tall
when he left I was a child
that was the hardest lesson
that I have learned the lesson of
life,we are given no guarantees
of how long we will be here
and in an instant you could lose
everything that meant the
world to you...
