A Mother

There just isn't any other
who can take your place, sweet Mother.
You worked so hard and smiled so much
and always had a gentle touch.
You planted seeds in flower pots
within my heart, within my thoughts.
You taught respect and manners too.
I truly owe it all to you.
Everything I am today
I owe to you in ev'ry way.

Just place this bookmark in a book;
when you feel lonely, take a look.
Every time you read this poem;
feel all the love you gave our home.

I'm wishing you a Mother's day
that's full of love in ev'ry way!
