SIMPLE PERSON

I`m just a simple person with a loving heart.
It was hard for me right from the start.
As a child in grammar school,
Kids called my: Dumb Bell (fool).
This name cut me to the bare bone.

They wouldn`t accept me in one high school;
This realization cut my heart to the bone.
But I didn`t give up, I wasn`t a fool;
I simply applied at another school.

I had to walk 2 miles to catch a buss.
I had to have a high school education;
So, I was willing and did`t put up a fuss.
After the first semester,
I went back to the first school.
This time they accepted me,
They realized that I was no fool.

Before I graduated, I joined Uncle Sam.
A U.S. soldier in service, now I am.
Uncle Sam gave me a G.E.D. Test.
I past it the first time, I did my best.

So, when life treats you like a stone,
Don`t just sit there like a bare bone.
Get up and move forward, do your best.
It`s the only way you`ll ever pass the test.

I`m not casting stones here.
God knows, I`ve had my share.
But what I`m saying, ''God loves you!
God`s Son, Jesus died for me and you.
By grace, through faith, we`ll make it through.
