Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Beyond the Ashes of Youth

tree of life

Memories' seeds filled with pain or delight
Focus on sprouting as dreams in the night.
Buried regrets lose their power and might
Finding the future's no place to bring spite.

Ashes of youth feed life's growth through the years
Watered at times by some sad, fallen tears.
Hope brings its message to listening ears;
Courage develops encasing old fears.

Laughter seeks sunshine in whimsical glee
Sensing the heart needs to shake loose debris.
Lessons well learned form a branch of life's tree
Growing to show what each leaf is to be.

Knowledge that youth's bloom will age and soon rust---
Ashes to ashes, we all turn to dust.
Looks in the mirror might end in disgust
But for eternity's promising trust.
