Philosophy 101

Distance, time and our beliefs
Separate and cause us griefs.
To understand I turn to verse.
We are one world, one universe.

Though we're one and all related;
some have been indoctrinated
into systems of belief
that are causing so much grief.

Once again I turn to verse,
to understand the universe.
Why the pain and why the hatred?
We are one and all related.

Why does hatred lead to blood;
young ones bleeding in the mud?
Why the pain, why must we hurt
and lay bleeding in the dirt?

The one part I understand
is together we can stand.
There is nothing we can't do;
nothing's there we can't get through.
