What Ails Me.
 

 


I am a Diabetic
and with that comes a fear
that life could end abruptly
any coming year.

There are so many complications
that come with Diabetes type 1 and 2
if you don't remain ever the vigilant
and take good care of you.

I already live with dreaded anxiety
and the curse I call depression
where mood swings have me entangled
in mixed emotions, and expression.

And then there's my Sciatica
which leaves me aching with much pain
which travels to my legs
and relief, I cannot gain.

So all in all I face much
every single day
and why I am so scared
and to God, always pray.

I've survived many surgeries
and always remained strong
but am terrified of Diabetes
for many who've had it, have since now gone.

Daily blood tests are not fun
nor is the fact I'm always tired
yet what scares me most in life
is to it, being expired.
