Lamentations
How long Father do I cry
For my children?
How long do these tears flow?
Can only a mother be acquainted
With this kind of grief?
My heart is rent asunder
With intense woe;
How long Father before
The eyes of their souls awaken;
Their sight be restored,
So they may see?
The answer Father lies
Only with Thee.
Oh how many years
I’ve prayed on bended knee,
For the deliverance of those
Born to me;
They turn their backs
And walk away as if
I do not exist;
The cord has been broken
With the complexities of life;
Like rivers that flow into the sea,
With it’s every turn and twist,
They are swept away into an ocean
Filled with deception and strife.
Father, bring them back to me
Before it’s too late;
Your are the Majestic ‘I Am’,
The Keeper of the Gate.
Set them free from the chains
That bind them;
Open the immovable barrier of hate;
You are our Divine Father,
The author of forgiveness and love.
