At the Threshold

Standing at the threshold of anticipation
Cherishing the wanting in the waiting
Savoring the blissful fervor of passion
Intensifying with each step closer to you

Seconds tick promises, promises of time
Moments and memories still meant to be
Hearts beat louder as distance fades away
Longing thunders as our reunion approaches

Momentum exceeds limits of excitement
Desire overwhelms all other sensations
Anxiety and expectation almost unbearable
Culminating in and ecstatic storm of passion

Blissfully aware of impending euphoria
Inhaling every insatiable moment I wait
We are standing at the threshold of desire
Awaiting the fulfillment of being reunited
