Devotedly Yours

My Darling

I wonder, when you read this
will your fingers fizz and tingle,
just as when you touch me,
oh dear...we're no good single.

We were meant to be together
like a hand in a kid glove.
I am miserable when you're away,
I miss you so, my love.

At the airport, when we said farewell
and you reached to take my hand,
electric pulses seared me
that I do not understand.

I am sensitive to your touch, dear,
it's so clear our love was meant
and I think we should be married soon,
our love is heaven-sent.

The last time that you asked me
I said I wasn't sure,
but this burning when we touch dear
says it's you that I adore.

Goodnight, my treasure, when you read
this message from my heart,
come home to me and we will make
great plans for our new start.

Devotedly yours...
